coloring easter eggs

while in utah, my family & i celebrated the easter tradition of coloring easter eggs. thanks to marie's online research, she found a new twist to coloring easter eggs - wrapping a raw egg in silk & white cloth then boiling in water & vinegar. my dad donated a couple old ties that he hadn't worn in a while, and we came up with some pretty eggs!

last weekend i snuck in a quick trip home to watch my little sister graduate from brigham young university's college of life sciences in public health. it was so fun to cheer her on with my parents, little brothers, grandparents & uncle. way to go, marie!

this adorable little sister of mine was accepted to georgetown university's accelerated nursing program starting this september!!! i'm so proud of marie and cannot wait for her to be our neighbor on the east coast!
